Just passed out of ULP yesterday... Made a LOT of new friends there.
Enjoyed myself, helped others, learnt a lot about management and leadership.
Did proposals, balanced time.

The above quotes certainly affected my life. It was a wonderful and certainly uniqe experience for me, and I am glad I went for it. Going for 10+ hikes in 2 weeks wasn't a big deal. Sleeping for 22 hours for 1 week wasn't a big deal. Helping 8 people manage 28+ people, though, was worth the experience.

Room is nice, travelling time is almost 1 minute, but still miss home...

1st 2010 Post!

LOL- Its almost the end of January and its my first post for the year. Havent been updating my blog lately...

Celebrating New Year in an aeroplane was a different experience. I celebrated by watching 3 movies in 5 hours. Had the best holiday of my life. Visited 13 cities within India in less than a month. Was like Rush Hour 4 haha. Visited all my relatives after 4 years, hearing the same comment "Wow! Vatsal, you have grown so tall!"

Trying to buld up my hand muscles, trying to reduce my weight, and trying to reduce my timing for 2.4km run, all in one. This is all to be able to actually do pull- ups before my NAPFA, and most importantly, National Service.

Starting from episode 117, "Jugo from the Northern hideout", all episodes have been action packed!

Don't forget to watch the next episode, "Amaterasu" on the 26th of December to get the better parts of the fight between Sasuke ansd Itachi. The openings are also nice...

In the manga (comic book), Killer Bee, the younger brother of the Raikage, is fighting Kisame Hoshigaki, undoubtfully one of the strongest ninja in the akatsuki. Kisame's sword likes the Killer Bee's chakra more! Looks like Killer Bee may win... although Kisame has taken KB's weapon to use against him, there must be a trick up KB's sleeve... Kisame was so good... disappointing... his sword betrayed him...

Holidays

These days, holidays do not aim to give students a break. Instead, they aim to provide students with more time for self- study. And the students are definitely not happy about this.

I have to dedicate most of November to my CCA and studying for next year. In December, I will be going to India. Right now, I am extremely busy. I missed a chalet with my friends. Well, actually I did not miss it, I just wanted to spend time with my mum and sister before they go to India.

Bubble tea CIP

This week my school's Red Cross is selling bubble tea at my canteen! I helped out, and soon we realised that there was a big problem. Because the bubble tea's cost was $1.50 each, we needed tonnes of 50 cent coins because people would usully pay in $2 notes! Hahaha... then I had to run to another stall to exchange coins while the queue was forming at our stall. By the way, we were raising funds. It was a good experience and a fun way to get CIP points!

Hotmail is down SOOOO often, its like it has some kind of a malfunction everytime I visit it. Its getting on my nerves and hindering my work...

They say Gmail also sometimes has this problem, but only sometimes. Yahoo and AOL are reliable but I feel that Yahoo is too user- unfriendly... haiz... what should I do???

Solar Eclipse on July 22nd 2009

On Wednesday, July 22, 2009, a total eclipse of the sun was visible. The path of the eclipse began in India and crossed through Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar (Burma) and China. After leaving mainland Asia, the path crossed Japan's Ryukyu Islands and curves southeast through the Pacific Ocean.

This was the longest total solar eclipse that occured during the 21st century, and will not be surpassed in duration until June 13, 2132. It lasted for up to 6 minutes and 39 seconds.

It was totally visible in many large cities, including Surat, Vadodara, Bhopal, Varanasi, Patna, Gaya, Dinajpur, Siliguri, Guwahati, Tawang in India and Chengdu, Nanchong, Chongqing, Yichang, Jingzhou, Wuhan, Huanggang, Hefei, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Huzhou, Suzhou, Jiaxing, Ningbo, Shanghai in China. According to some experts, Taregana in Bihar, India was expected to be the best place to view the event.

I am in a Secondary School in Singapore. Well, my CCA is Red Cross. Do not think that it is not a good CCA, it is, in fact, one of the best. It prepares you for the future and keeps you fit, unlike the common belief. You can gain lots of experience in Red Cross, thats a guarantee and if you come for most trainings, it will make you a tougher person.

I enjoy reading and listening to music. Some good books for people who like fantasy are:
- The Keys to the Kingdom
- The Underland Chronicles

Some movies that I really enjoyed:
- The Prestige
- The Dark Knight
